Posted on: Wednesday, 27 July 2005, 18:00 CDT
Executives from Tortoise Energy Infrastructure Corporation (NYSE:TYG) and Tortoise Energy Capital Corporation (NYSE:TYY) will ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, July 28th. The company is marking the recent completion of a successful Initial Public Offering of its second fund (TYY).
The New York Stock Exchange is located at 11 Wall Street. Live feeds are available to media outlets and can be accessed by fiber line at Waterfront #1630 beginning at 3:55 p.m. EDT.
"We are very pleased to be marking this capstone event in our company's history," said Terry Matlack, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of both Tortoise companies. "Since pioneering an investment structure focused on energy infrastructure companies just three years ago, Tortoise Energy's two funds have grown to over $1.1 billion in total assets. But it's important to note that Tortoise Energy and its progeny have collectively infused close to $3 billion into energy infrastructure companies, essentially fresh capital that was not previously available to issuers."
