Building Bid to Recycle Materials
July 29, 2005
BIG business is being urged to be kind to the environment by using recycled materials in construction projects.
Scottish Environment Minister Ross Finnie has launched a consultation paper which asks all public building contractors to be using at least 10-per cent recycled materials by next March.
The targets apply to projects undertaken by the Scottish Executive, local authorities, social landlords, the NHS and other non-departmental public bodies.
