MONTANA: Severance Tax: Oil and Gas Conservation Tax Rate Altered

Effective July 1,2005, the Montana oil and gas conservation tax rate for each barrel of crude petroleum and each 10,000 cubic feet of natural gas produced, saved, marketed, or stored in the state is 0.18% (formerly, 0.26%) of market value. (ARM 36.22.1242, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, effective as noted above.)
