Lullabelly, LLC, creators of the Lullabelly Prenatal Music Belt, conducted a 3-month poll where an overwhelming 97% of respondents said they believe playing music to a baby in the womb is beneficial for a baby’s development.

During the 3-month study, Lullabelly received hundreds of responses and positive feedback from parents eager to share their personal experiences with playing different types of music, and the positive affects it had on them and their children.

“We know from research, and countless articles, that playing music during pregnancy can be very beneficial for both mom and baby,” said Adrianne Godart, president of Lullabelly. “We really wanted to know if parents felt that playing music to their baby in the womb was beneficial, and an overwhelming 97% said yes.”

Over the past several years new scientific research has shown that there are many benefits to playing music for a baby in the womb. Music helps to stimulate a baby’s brain activity, and the development of brain cells. Playing music in the womb helps lay the foundation for a baby’s learning abilities and encourages the development of language & memory skills. Studies have also found that newborn babies recognize and are soothed by music they were exposed to while the womb. Read what the experts are saying at http://www.lullabelly.com/benefits.html

Listening to music is also a great way for pregnant mothers to unwind and help reduce stress during pregnancy. This time of relaxation produces serotonin and dopamine (“happy hormones”). Mom and baby listening to music together will create a wonderful bonding and sharing experience. Exposing a baby to music in the womb means not only sharing your musical preferences, but also allows the baby to use music as a way of connecting with the mother, based on a mutually enjoyable experience.

Since headphones were invented, pregnant women have been stretching them across their bellies in an attempt to play music to their baby in the womb. However, headphones can be bulky, awkward, uncomfortable, and too loud for a baby’s delicate ears. Lullabelly is the more comfortable, safer, and stylish alternative.
