Orlando, FL (PRWEB) December 25, 2010
As stated in a previous press release by Capital Corp Merchant Banking on December 10, 2010 (http://www.prweb.com/releases/2010/12/prweb4878414.htm), Capital Corp Merchant Banking has entered into a $9.2 million funding agreement with Caniin Suriname NV. The funding agreement was engineered by Capital Corp’s President and CEO, Mr Gilles Herard, Jr.
The funding agreement Mr Herard designed on based on debenture and common stock. The funding for the project is to be disbursed as follows: $400,000 to be acquired upon closing of the transaction in the form of common stock, and $8.8 million in debenture, to be repaid monthly over the course of 120 months at an annual fixed interest rate of 6.5%.
Funding will be used specifically to build the rice plant, which will be fully automated, and the investment includes infrastructural land works, buildings, machinery, transport equipment, spare parts, and pre-production costs. The supplier and construction supervision of the production facilities will be in the hands of Super Brix (http://www.superbrix.com/en/index.php), an experienced Columbian Rice processing equipment manufacturer. Caniin Suriname NV plans to export its rice to the Caricom countries (Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados, St. Vincent, Grenada, Guyana) and also non-traditional markets, namely Haiti and Brazil.
The method by which this project is to be funded is the brainchild of Mr Herard. Mr Herard is a seasoned merchant banker and has been in the banking industry for 38 years. He worked early in his career at the Toronto Dominion Bank (Canada) and later on joined Manufacturer Hanover (MH) of New York as Senior Credit Analyst. He eventually created his own Firm, Capital Corp Merchant Banking, where he syndicates and structures funding for top companies worldwide, all the while investing his own firm’s funds into the projects.
