Ukraine Disconnects Nuclear Reactor From Grid

Kiev, 4 August: The No 5 generating set at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant was disconnected from the power grid at 1207 [0907 gmt] on 4 August to carry out planned medium-level maintenance work, the plant's public relations centre said today.
Of the plant's six generating sets, five are currently in operation.
The plant plans to complete maintenance work at the generating set on 29 September 2005.
