Garner Decontamination Solutions announces the opening of its Portable Asset Decontamination System (PADS).
Recent studies in the US and UK have shown that nearly 50% of ambulances and rescue vehicles are contaminated with contagious pathogens such as methicillin-resistant staph aureus (MRSA). Garner Decontamination Solutions has the solution.
League City, TX (PRWEB) January 10, 2011
The PADS (Portable Asset Decontamination System) unit, located near the Houston, TX Medical Center is now open. It is a 60′ drive-in chamber that sterilizes vehicles inside and out in less than one hour using new AeroClave® Energized Hydrogen Peroxide (eHPâ“¢) vapor technology. It can sterilize ambulances, rescue vehicles and police cars, as well as large semi-trailer loads of sensitive medical equipment and goods. It can accommodate three average size vehicles at a time.
Once a cycle is completed, the vehicles in the chamber are sterile, odorless and ready to operate immediately. The process is safe for sensitive electronics and all materials. It helps reduce sicknesses in transport employees and patients. There is also less downtime for the vehicles because the process is much quicker and more effective than sanitizing by hand.
The process results in hospital operating room sterilization levels, killing viruses, spores and bacteria including Staph, HIV, Anthrax, C-Diff (Clostridium Difficile), H1N1 Flu, MRSA and Tuberculosis to name a few. Sterility on each run is proven using scientifically accepted methods. These services are available on a regularly scheduled basis and are also available 24/7 for emergency response. This process stops pathogens in their tracks.
Garner is a 30 year old independently owned and operated company.
