Socar Increases Oil Deliveries to State By 0.7%
BAKU. Aug 4 (Interfax) – The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) delivered 5.179 million tonnes of oil to the state in January-July 2005, which is 0.7% more than in the same period in 2004, the SOCAR press service told Interfax.
The oil and gas divisions of the company delivered 4.617 million tonnes of oil to the state in January-July 2005, which is 0.7% less than in January-July 2004. Joint ventures and operating companies developing onshore oil fields in Azerbaijan delivered 562,600 tonnes of oil to the state, a 14% growth compared to the same period last year.
Three operating companies are engaged in onshore oil and gas production in Azerbaijan- Salyan Oil Ltd (SOL, is developing the Kursangi and Garabaghli oil fields), Karasu Operating Company (Kelametdin and Mishovdag), and Shirvanoil (Northern Kurovdag, Central Kurovdag, and Southern Kurovdag), and two joint ventures, the Azerbaijani-Malaysian-Turkish company ANSHAD Petrol (Neftchala) and the Azerbaijani-German company AzGerneft (Ramani).
