The next webcast will air Friday January 28th from 12:00p ““ 1:15p PST.

In September 2010 Director of the Angeles weight loss surgery program gastroenterologist surgeon Dr. Lopez Corvala, President of the Mexican Association of Endoscopic Surgery and member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, presented findings from more than 100 gastric plication findings at the 15th Congress of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO).

Dr. Lopez-Corvala reported his findings about the gastric plication procedure support earlier clinical data reported at the Euro-Mediterranean & Middle East laparoscopic meeting. SFCE-MMESA held in Bordeaux-France November 13-15, 200, as well as the Bariatric Times (Laparoscopic Greater Curvature Plication: An Alternative Restrictive Bariatric Procedure, May 2010).

The gastric plication procedure features the benefits of minimal risk of acute or late complications, while providing patients with weight loss that comes sooner and is more intense than restrictive gastric banding.
