Baylor College Of Medicine Names New Trustees
Five new members have been named to the Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees, Chair Marc J. Shapiro announced this week.
The new trustees are Robert L. Brewton, Sally Anderson Clark, Milane Duncan-Frantz, Gerald W. Haddock and Kenneth W. Starr.Brewton is the president of Brewton Investment Corporation, a capital investment firm located in Houston. He directs various investments in real estate, venture capital and asset based loans.
A long-time community leader, Clark is involved with numerous organizations in the Houston area, including Covenant House, Ronald McDonald House and Zoo Friends of Houston.
Duncan-Frantz is vice president of Enterprise Products, where she also serves on the board. She is involved in a number of community organizations and is active in the creation of the Duncan Family Foundation.
An attorney and investment expert, Haddock is the president of Haddock Investments, which he founded in 1999. The firm focuses on alternative asset investing, real estate investing and development, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Starr became president of Baylor University in June 2010. With a distinguished career in academia, law and public service, he served as dean of law at Pepperdine University before accepting the Baylor position last year. He has served as Solicitor General of the United States, as a U.S. judge, and in numerous academic roles.
