Renaissance Ball Benefits Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter of Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America

On Saturday, May 7, 2011, the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) will host its 36th annual Renaissance Ball.

On Saturday, May 7, 2011, the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) will host its 36th annual Renaissance Ball at the Hyatt Regency at Penn’s Landing. The black-tie affair is the premier fund-raising event for the Chapter, benefiting Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis patients and their families. Jayne and David Weinstock, of Villanova, Pa., will serve as the event’s chairpersons. NBC-10 News Reporter Lu Ann Cahn will serve as emcee of the evening.

Each year at the Renaissance Ball, Delaware Valley individuals are recognized by the Chapter for their efforts to expand research and support services and for assisting the organization to reach its goals. This year, CCFA will honor Andrew Barbin of Elkton, MD, as Man of the Year and David E. Stein, M.D., of Merion, PA, as Physician of the Year.

Tickets for the Renaissance Ball are available to the public for $375 per person. Attendees will enjoy great food, cocktails, live music and dancing while helping to raise funds and change lives.

Proceeds from the Ball benefit research, education, and support programs for people suffering from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis ““ chronic digestive disorders of the small and large intestines. Currently, Crohn’s and colitis affect an estimated 1.4 million Americans.

CCFA, a voluntary, non-profit national organization, seeks to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
