Iran to remove all seals on nuclear facility on Wednesday: official

TEHRAN, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) — Iran is set to remove all the seals that placed on the Isfahan nuclear fuel cycle facility on Wednesday, state-run television reported on Wednesday morning.

“The rest of seals will be removed today and the activities will resume,” chief of Iran’s Nuclear Energy Organization Gholam Reza Aghazadeh was quoted as saying.

Iran on Monday had removed some of the seals on the Isfahan nuclear fuel cycle facility placed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The move had prompted an emergency meeting of IAEA board of governors in Vienna on Tuesday, but the board failed to agree on a response to Iran’s move, and the emergency meeting is to continue on Wednesday.

IAEA inspectors have been carrying out intensive visits to Iranian nuclear sites during the past two years.

Washington had on many occasions accused Tehran of secretly developing nuclear weapon under the cover of civilian nuclear program. Tehran has repeatedly denied the charges.
