After debuting on eight of the worlds professional golf tours, a unique golf putting training aid called The Can’t Miss has now been launched to the public. Invented in Australia and manufactured in England, The Can’t Miss contains twin super-precision gyroscopes that when clipped to the putter, spin at 15,000RPM and ensures the putter face remains square to the putter path throughout the stroke. This enables golfers to experience what a stable, repeatable putting stroke feels like.

TCM’s inventor David Capaldo, a former successful touring professional and now head coach of the Victorian State Junior Team, first had the idea of attaching a gyroscope to a putter some fifteen years ago. “My father is an engineer and was always tinkering in the shed. I picked up great insight into how the physical world worked by just looking over his shoulder”, stated David. He went on to say “I also experienced enormous frustration with the quality and usefulness of putting training aids available on the market. Most of them are just cheap rails and guides coming out of China. They have no place in the professional game. I was having this same conversation with a friend of mine ““ Shane Verner ““ over lunch one day and we decided to get a prototype made. A year later and here we are.”

The Can’t Miss is a precision instrument with the gyroscopes needing to be manufactured to sub-micron tolerances. This required precision meant the team had to have the prototype made in England at a specialty plant where it was eventually assembled by hand. The team then enlisted the help of European PGA Tour star, Marcus Fraser (a consistent leader in the revealing putting statistic category) to test the prototype and couch his peers for their opinion. Marcus said “to be honest, I wasn’t really interested at first; but I found the device pushing me around if I got off plane. I gave it to a few of the boys on Tour to try out and they all agreed it was a startling sensation.”

Forged with the knowledge they were on a winner the TCM team then constructed a limited release Mark II product that was made available to Touring Pro’s, Teaching Pro’s and elite amateurs. This resulted in today’s situation where The Can’t Miss can be seen being used at tournament venues in the USA, Europe, South America, Australia and Asia by luminaries such as Marc Leishmann and Jarrod Lyle, both members of the illustrious US PGA Tour.

The Can’t Miss has now been officially launched to the public. Shane Verner, Managing Director of TCM stated: “Forged with the confidence of our success on the major professional golf tours of the world, we know the golfing public will now get behind us. We aim to be the gold standard in golf training aids. With our elite manufacturing facility in England producing a product of the highest quality and with sound scientific principles underpinning what we do, we know we can succeed in our mission to make golfers better putters.”

The Can’t Miss is now available for purchase Online and in Pro Shops around the world.
