Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT) today announced that its Power Units Segment, Behlman Electronics, Inc. ("Behlman") has received an order for approximately $365,000, for a power supply used on the RC-135 Rivet Joint Program, the U.S. Air Force's all-weather airborne reconnaissance platform. The USAF RC-135 Rivet Joint surveillance aircraft is equipped with an extensive array of sophisticated intelligence gathering equipment enabling military specialists to monitor the electronic activity of enemy forces and threatening battlefield activity. This follow-on order for the Behlman power supply brings the total orders under the RC-135 Rivet Joint Program to over $700,000 since 2003.
In addition, Behlman received an order for a modified power supply used in a railroad testing application for the New York City Transit Authority for approximately $100,000. These Behlman units provide signaling for the railroad. Deliveries under these contracts are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2005 and continue through the first quarter of 2006.
Mark Tublisky, President of Behlman, commented, "Behlman's success continues to stem from its ability to modify its standard products to meet specific customer requirements, combined with its individualized engineering support and unmatched service. This approach to product sales has been instrumental in developing a niche in the power supply market which has driven Behlman's sales growth over the past several years. With each new order, Behlman enhances its reputation as a premier supplier of custom power solutions, which we believe will continue to lead to sales growth in the years to come."
