Nepal Raises Prices of Petroleum Products

Kathmandu, 19 August: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has once again increased the retail prices of petroleum products with effect from Thursday [18 August] midnight.
According to the NOC, the increased prices of kerosene, diesel, petrol and air transport fuel have been fixed at 39 rupees, 46 rupees, 67 rupees and 53 rupees per litre respectively.
With this, five rupees has been increased on each petroleum product.
The executive chairman of the NOC, Govind Dev Pandey, Thursday said that with the price hike of petroleum products, the monthly loss of 500m rupees incurred by NOC will come down to 260m rupees.
The government had recently increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from 800 rupees per litre to 900 rupees.
Prices of petroleum products were last increased in January.
