MDEChem, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: MDKM) is pleased to announce that the EPA ETV (Environmental Test Verification) Program has been published on the www.sri-rtp.com and www.epa/etv websites pertaining to the results of the test on EnviroFuels Diesel Fuel Catalyzer.
In part, the EPA statement says, "The EPA created the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program to facilitate the deployment of innovative or improved environmental technologies through performance verification and dissemination of information. The program's goal is to further environmental protection by accelerating the acceptance and use of these technologies. ETV achieves this goal by providing high-quality, peer-reviewed performance data to technology designers, purchasers, distributors, financiers, remitters, users and the public." The report continued, "EPA's ETV partner, Southern Research Institute through Gas Technology Center and the EPA's National Risk Management Research Laboratory collaborated with EnviroFuels to evaluate the effects of the Diesel Fuel Catalyzer." Other members of the Peer review committee included Environment Canada, New York State Environmental Quality, Burlington and Santa Fe Railroad, and others.
"TECHNOLOGY PERFORMANCE (the report concludes)
...Brake-specific fuel consumption (BSFC) and brake specific gaseous emissions showed statistically significant improvements at the majority of operating notches. Line-haul duty cycle-weighted BSFC and gaseous emissions also improved. Switch duty cycle-weighted (BSFC) and all gaseous emissions showed statistically significant improvements."
MDECHEM believes this is the first additive tested by the EPA that achieved both fuel economy improvements and gaseous emissions reductions.
