China restricts export of easily-made toxic chemicals to specified nations or regions
BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- China Monday made public its provisions on exports of toxic chemicals that can be easily made to specified nations or regions in order to curb them from being used to make narcotics.
Under the provisions made public by the Ministry of Commerce, exports of 58 easily-made toxic chemicals including ephedrine require licenses from the central government and are subject to the regulation of international monitoring system if they are bound for such countries as Myanmar and the Laos.
The catalog of the chemicals will be readjusted by those departments if needed, according to the provisions.
The provisions were made by the Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Security, the General Administration of Customs and some other government departments.
