Expert on Relocating Animals to Talk at Park

David Sparks, a licensed animal damage control agent, will present an exhibit from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Maine Wildlife Park about wild animal emergencies.

Sparks traps nuisance wildlife – such as a raccoon stuck in a chimney, a skunk under the porch, a woodchuck in the garden or a bat in the attic – and relocates it to more appropriate habitats.

The park on Route 26 has more than 25 species of native wildlife on display and is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Nov. 11; visitors must leave the premises by 6 p.m. Admission to the park is free for ages 3 and under; $3.25 ages 5-12; $5 for adults, and $4 for seniors. Groups of 15 or more are $2.50 per person.
