J. Patrick Reddy, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE:ATO), will speak at the Lehman Brothers Energy Power Conference on Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at 7:45 a.m. EDT.

As previously disclosed, the company is projecting to earn in the middle of its established guidance of $1.65 to $1.75 per diluted share for the 2005 fiscal year. Because the company's operations are seasonal, operating results for the nine months ended June 30, 2005 are not indicative of the results to be expected for the 12 months ended September 30, 2005.
A live webcast of this presentation will be broadcast on Atmos Energy's website at www.atmosenergy.com. The presentation will be archived for 30 days.
