Justice Dept., EPA, State Agencies to Hold Press Conf., Media Availability Announcing Major Federal, Multi-State Settlement With Grain Processing Industry

JUSTICE DEPT., EPA, & STATE AGENCIES TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE AND MEDIA AVAILABILITY ANNOUNCING MAJOR FEDERAL, MULTI-STATE SETTLEMENT WITH GRAIN PROCESSING INDUSTRY

DETAILS:

Justice Department, EPA, and Iowa environmental officials will hold a press conference to announce a major federal, multi-state Clean Air Act settlement with the grain processing industry on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, at 10 A.M. CDT. A media availability conference call will follow the press conference, at 11 A.M. CDT.

The press conference will be attended by: Kelly A. Johnson, Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department's Environment and Natural Resources Division; Jim Gulliford, EPA's Administrator for Region 7; Wayne Gieselman, division administrator of Environmental Services, Iowa Department of Natural Resources; U.S. Attorney Matthew Whitaker, of the Southern District of Iowa; and U.S. Attorney Charles Larson, Sr., of the Northern District of Iowa.

Participants on the conference call will include John A. Paul, supervisor of Ohio's Regional Air Pollution Control Agency, and Matthew Stuckey, senior environmental manager for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
