Experts Available to Discuss Gas Prices Expected to Reach $4 Per Gallon

TOPIC: Oil and gas analysts expect gas prices to increase to $4 per gallon soon, according to an article by CNN/Money. Hurricane Katrina put a halt to more than one-tenth of the nation's oil refinery operations. Oil production was cut by 25 percent, which is sending gasoline prices skyward. Although experts from the Oil Price Information Service are sure that prices will rise, they are not certain as to how long the prices will remain high. While the pipelines are closed, distribution centers are forced to rely on reserves.

Alternative fuel and vehicle expert, Shaun Murphy discusses how to use less or no gas in current diesel and gas-powered vehicles. Murphy can advise individuals on how to spend less on gas and advise on the potential of a biofuel future. Shaun completed a 16,000-mile road trip across the U.S. without gas. The television series, COOLFUEL ROADTRIP, documenting the one-year journey will premiere in markets across the U.S. in September. Shaun Murphy is available for over the phone interviews at any time and will be available for in person interviews beginning September 5th. The duration of higher gas prices will depend on the extent of long-term damage caused to the oil refineries. The destruction of oil will hit southeast and northeast consumers before impacting the rest of the nation.
