Shell Group (UK/Netherlands), oil concern, had a 6% share on the world solar power engineering market in 2004. It was one of the six largest firms in the sector
. Another firm within this group, BP Solar Group (UK/Netherlands) had a 7.1% share. The world's largest manufacturer of solar equipment in 2004 was Sharp (Japan), whose share was 27.1%. The second largest was Kyocera Group (Japan) with an 8.8% share.Source: Access Czech Republic Business Bulletin
