UNSURPRISINGLY, diesel sales are going through the roof. Figures for thrifty oil-burners were up a massive 10.7 per cent in August, with petrol cars down nearly three per cent. Dealers are reporting price premiums for LPG and dual-fuel cars, with town toddlers like the Ford Ka and Toyota Yaris enjoying robust residuals, as cost- conscious buyers trade down to more parsimonious transport.
