Fuel-Tech N.V. Announces Multiple Orders for NOxOUT(R) Systems Totaling Approximately $2 Million
Posted on: Tuesday, 20 September 2005, 09:00 CDT
Fuel-Tech N.V. (Nasdaq: FTEK), a world leader in advanced engineering solutions for the optimization of combustion systems in utility and industrial applications, today announced orders for four NOxOUT(R) projects totaling approximately $2 million. The first order, from a major Southeastern utility alliance partner, is for NOxOUT system engineering on four coal-fired boilers, comprising two 100 megawatt (MW(e)) and two 125 MW(e) units. The second order is for installation of a NOxOUT system on a municipal solid waste incinerator in Italy. The remaining orders consist of preliminary process engineering for NOxOUT systems on a large coal-fired boiler at a paper manufacturer and on two coal-fired units at a major Southwestern utility.
Steven C. Argabright, President and Chief Operating Officer, commented, "We are quite pleased with the pace of order flow in our air pollution control business. Since the beginning of 2005, we have announced over $32 million in NOxOUT project orders, reflecting good customer and geographic diversification. In particular, our Italian order represents the latest in a steady stream of business being won in Europe. In the case of our utility alliance partner, we anticipate additional orders materializing in the near future."
