Blood Research Foundation Awarded $1.35 Million Grant

The Scarborough-based Foundation for Blood Research has been awarded $1.35 million to develop a program that introduces Maine teachers and students to the application of computer simulations and modeling in science education.
The award from the National Science Foundation will pay for a three-year project. The centerpiece is a program that teaches 7th and 8th grade science teachers how to develop curriculum to explore and model ecosystems.
