Rollcast Energy and Power Plant Professionals Create Strategic Alliance

Rollcast Energy, Inc. (Rollcast) and Power Plant Professionals, LLC (P3) today announced a strategic alliance that streamlines the acquisition and operation of Rollcast energy facilities. P3 will provide three services to Rollcast:

-- Due diligence evaluations, including technical assessments, for potential power plant acquisitions;

-- Operation and maintenance of facilities Rollcast acquires;

-- Financial projections that include engineering estimates, operation and maintenance budgeting and forecasts of capital expense as required by Rollcast.

The market for independent power generation assets market has recently undergone a shift, according to the Rollcast viewpoint. It is now dominated by financial investors while most utilities are focusing on their core businesses. Competition among large equity funds has bid down returns on these assets, particularly for large assets or portfolios. Successful energy companies in the future must be nimble and have a deep understanding of the assets and opportunities to increase value.
