JJR has been honored by The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) with the esteemed ASLA Landscape Architecture Firm Award for 2011. This tribute is the highest honor that ASLA imparts upon a design firm.
The award is bestowed annually upon a single firm whose work has had a lasting influence on the professional practice of landscape architecture. Additionally, the successful firm must demonstrate a collaborative office environment, and the consistent quality of its work must be recognized by the landscape architecture, design and construction communities, as well as the general public.
The winner is selected by ASLAÃ¢s Board of Trustees. JJR will be recognized by ASLA at the groupÃ¢s Annual Meeting and Expo, to be held October 30-November 2, 2011 in San Diego, California.
Founded in 1961 by William Johnson, Carl Johnson, and Clarence Roy, JJR now features 130 professionals in offices across the U.S. JJRÃ¢s work has earned over 250 professional planning, design and engineering awards since the firmÃ¢s inception. In 2010 the firm received 28 awards, including three national awards and two Chapter ASLA Awards of Excellence.
Entering its 50th year in 2011, JJRÃ¢s client list continues to grow across the U.S. and around the globe, including projects in South Korea, China, Qatar, Panama, and Canada.
