European satellite crashes into sea: official

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The European Space Agency's Cryosat
research satellite crashed into the sea after its launch rocket
failed, the Russian agency that launched it was quoted as
saying on Saturday.

"We believe that the satellite, together with part of the
rocket, fell where the second rocket stage is supposed to fall,
that is in the Lincoln Sea, near the North Pole," Itar-Tass
