Biosphere Development Corp., A Subsidiary of Global Environmental Energy Corp (OTCBB: GEECF); Invited to Discuss Opening Environmental Research Center at the University of Shaoxing

NASSAU, Bahamas, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Environmental Energy Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: GEECF; Xetra Frankfurt: GLI) confirmed today that its subsidiary, Biosphere Development Corp., a Corporation registered in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, is in discussions with the University of Shaoxing to establish an Environmental Research Center to develop environmentally sustainable methods to treat additional Chinese waste streams.

The relationship with the University of Shaoxing has been developed by Biosphere (Asia Pacific) Company Limited, and their partners the Shenzhen Branch of Yankuang Group Co., Ltd., and the Shenzhen Rayes Group Co. Ltd. Following the acceptance of the Biosphere Process(TM) System to process Municipal Solid Waste in China, it is the intention of the University and Biosphere (Asia Pacific) Company to develop an Environmental Research Center to develop environmentally sustainable methods to treat additional Chinese waste streams. The establishment of the center will be negotiated in Shaoxing the week beginning 24th October 2005 by a team led by Biospheres' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Christopher A. McCormack.

In September 2005 Biosphere confirmed that, after due consideration and expert examination, the China Environmental Protection Industry Association had approved the Biosphere Process(TM) System for use in China.

The China Environmental Protection Industry Association determined that the Biosphere Process Technology was a feasible and practical technology, which complied with the Chinese Government Administration's Directives for the destruction of MSW, and the recycling of valuable resources and that the Biosphere Process was accepted for operation in China.

The University of Shaoxing

The University occupies a modern 106-hectare site on the edge of the city of Shaoxing and has 16,000 full-time undergraduates, and 15,000 part-time students, and 1,500 faculty members and staff, including 6 guest professors, 92 full professors and 418 associate professors. The university's 15 faculties are organized into 24 departments: Departments of the Chinese Language and Literature, Fine Arts, Musicology, the English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Information Science, Information Engineering, Bioscience, Chemistry, Physical Education, Computer Science, Electromechanical Engineering, Textile and Apparel Engineering, Civil Engineering, Economics, Business Management, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Medical Technique, Law, Political Science, Public Management, Pedagogy.

Dr. Christopher A. McCormack

Dr. Christopher A. McCormack is Chief Executive Officer of Biosphere. Dr. McCormack was educated in life sciences and chemistry at University College, Dublin, and the National University of Ireland, (B.Sc., 1st Class Hons, 1995, Ph.D., 1997). Dr McCormack is a postdoctoral alumnus of the University of California at Berkeley and holds an N.I.H.C. awarded by the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda MD., and is both a distinguished Fulbright Scholar and a Fogarty Fellow, with elected memberships to both the Physiological Society and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. In addition, Dr McCormack has previously been commended by the Nuffield Foundation and the American Physiological Society and is the author of over 100 technical and scientific contributions, including several patents for the environmentally sustainable production of fuel grade ethanol as a green fuel alternative from biomass, surpluses and other waste materials. The DiGenter(TM) process, recognized by the Ford Motor Company as being of global environmental significance (Dublin September 1999), was developed from his interests in extending and preserving finite fossil fuel resources while in addition re-mediating harmful environmental emissions and assisting fossil fuel preservation. Dr McCormack is the inventor of and has spearheaded the development of the Biosphere Process(TM) and while simultaneously leading the due diligence efforts examining potential competing technologies whilst the Biosphere Process(TM) was under development.
