Intelligent Design Isn’t Science
October 17, 2005
Intelligent design has no place to go as a theory. A scientific theory is an attempt to explain the observed facts and to, hopefully, provide insight to make predictions about possible future discoveries.
If intelligent design is a scientific theory, what facts does it attempt to explain? The vast majority of its literature is nothing more than a diatribe against evolution.
Intelligent design says the nature of life’s beginnings is too complicated and therefore cannot be explained or understood. Thus, it has nowhere to go scientifically.
