GridPoint Appoints Vice President of Sales, Randy Etheridge, Formerly With Caterpillar Power Generation Systems

Responsible for Sales, Business, Distributor and Channel Development, Etheridge Has Extensive Experience Across Multiple Sectors of the Energy Industry
GridPoint, Inc., a provider of intelligent energy management (IEM) appliances, today announced the appointment of Vice President of Sales, Randy Etheridge, who formerly managed sales for the North American and South Pacific regions of Caterpillar Power Generation Systems. Mr. Etheridge will be responsible for leading GridPoint sales as well as business, distributor and channel development.
Mr. Etheridge has extensive sales and business development experience across multiple sectors of the energy industry, including distributed energy, power generation, renewable and alternative energy. As the Regional Sales Manager for Caterpillar Power Generation Systems he introduced biodiesel and biofuel technology to the South Pacific region and developed its distribution dealer network. Mr. Etheridge's 25 years of experience also includes work as Director of Business Development at Siemens, where he established the Siemens Energy Solutions Group and helped to develop alternative power projects.

As Vice President of Business Development at Sterling Planet, the leading green energy supplier in the United States, Mr. Etheridge was responsible for all profit and loss activities, strategic planning and implementation. He has also held senior sales management positions at power system manufacturers Stewart Stevenson, where he was Director of Sales, and ITT Snyder.
Mr. Etheridge is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPA); the Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA); and ISA, an organization of engineers, technicians and others who work in the field of instrumentation, measurement, and control of industrial processes. He holds a B.A. from Baylor University.
