Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c26262) has announced the addition of China Sourcing Report: Power Supplies to their offering

Demand for mainland China-made power supplies is expected to increase by 25 percent in 2005 and by 20 percent in 2006. Demand is forecast to reach at least 4 billion units in 2005, and hit over 4.8 billion units, worth some US$30 billion, by 2006.

In anticipation of a demand surge, power supply makers are planning to ramp up their production output by at least 10 percent in 2005. Mainland China produced an estimated 3.2 billion units of power supplies in 2004 while Taiwan’s output is about 16 million units.

Details of manufacturers that serve the worlds leading companies such as Apple, Bosch, Braun, Compaq, Dell, Electrolux, Fujitsu and Motorola are provided in this China Sourcing Report on Power Supplies. It provides in-depth profiles of 20 leading producers with a close look at their production facilities, export capacities, R&D plans and QC procedures. The study includes profile tables of 64 other companies, providing snapshots of their manufacturing capabilities, export markets, technology partners and product certifications. Advice on suppliers that have — or plan to adopt — environment-friendly production processes is also included.

Benefits of the report:

– Learn why Taiwan manufacturers are shifting their focus to niche applications and producing dc/dc switching power supplies

– Take a close look at the latest supplier survey, summarizing producers’ price, R&D and expansion forecasts

– Get a better understanding of government regulations that are forcing China’s makers to produce more efficient power supply models

– Benefit from a quick-to-use index that lists all featured producers, with easily comparable statistics and verified contact details, including e-mail addresses and URLs

– Save time and money on your next sourcing trip to Asia by focusing only on those manufacturers relevant to your needs
