PURE Bioscience's Distributor Launches Silver Dihydrogen Citrate-Based Germ Control24(TM) into Janitorial/Sanitation Industry; Clean Control Corporation Features Germ Control24 at ISSA/INTERCLEAN(R) Exhibition

PURE Bioscience (OTCBB:PURE) announced that one of its distributors, Clean Control Corporation, has launched the silver dihydrogen citrate-based disinfectant, Germ Control24(TM), into the Janitorial/Sanitation Industry at the ISSA/INTERCLEAN(R) Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, the largest ISSA event, featuring the newest technologies, equipment, products, and services available in the cleaning and maintenance industry. The annual U.S. edition of the ISSA/INTERCLEAN(R) convention and educational conference draws more than 16,000 attendees from all aspects of the facility services and sanitary supply industries.
PURE's silver dihydrogen citrate-based Axen30(R) hard surface disinfectant is packaged by Clean Control Corporation and distributed to Clean Control's customers under the private label "Germ Control24(TM)." Clean Control already distributes Germ Control24 to a wholly owned subsidiary of a Fortune 50 national home retailer. In addition, last month, Clean Control began delivery of Germ Control24 for distribution to the military for use in the Gulf Coast region.
Clean Control Corporation is a member of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), the leading association for the cleaning industry worldwide with more than 5,000 distributor, wholesaler, manufacturer, manufacturer representative, facility service provider, publisher, and associate member companies.
Stephen Davison, Clean Control's founder and president, stated, "Chemical producers are being pressured to develop lower toxicity products without sacrificing efficacy. The hotel industry especially is demanding 'greener' products. Our Germ Control24 disinfectant fits the bill by providing superior disinfecting power without poisonous chemicals. The launch of Germ Control24 at ISSA has given us timely exposure in a market that is ripe for change.
"In addition to industry demands, governmental regulators like the US EPA are also urging chemical companies to develop 'green' products for their use in various industrial applications. The EPA's Design for the Environment program evaluates industry uses of hazardous chemicals and assesses alternative processes, formulations, and emerging technologies. We currently have several cleaning products that meet DfE protocol, and although, to date, DfE has focused primarily on cleaners and not yet on disinfectants, the launch of Germ Control24 at ISSA positions it for future DfE evaluation by the EPA."
Michael L. Krall, President and CEO of PURE Bioscience, attended the trade show and commented, "The response to Germ Control24 is overwhelmingly favorable. We were particularly surprised and pleased with the intense interest shown by international supply and distribution companies, most notably from Canada and Mexico. We expect Clean Control to immediately capitalize on the expanded exposure gained from this exhibition, which should translate into increased sales for PURE in the next quarter."
Superior Technology
PURE's patented new antimicrobial molecule, silver dihydrogen citrate (SDC), is an electrolytically generated source of stabilized ionic silver that can serve as the basis for a broad range of products in diverse markets. Colorless, odorless, tasteless and non-caustic, the aqueous SDC formulates well with other compounds. PURE produces and has begun to market pre-formulated, ready-to-use product, as well as varying strengths of SDC concentrate as an additive or raw material for inclusion in other companies' products.
Axen30, PURE's first commercialized SDC product, is a powerful hard surface disinfectant. The efficacy of Axen30 exceeds that of most leading commercial and consumer products while maintaining a lower toxicity rating. EPA registered claims for Axen30 include a 30 second kill time and an unmatched 24 hour residual kill on standard indicator bacteria, a 2 minute kill time on some resistant strains of bacteria including MRSA and VRE, 10 minute kill time on fungi, 30 second kill time on HIV Type I, and 10 minute kill time on other viruses. Recently, PURE received EPA registration of expanded claims for its Axen30 hard surface disinfectant to include use on hard surfaces in childcare facilities. The EPA previously registered Axen30 for disinfection of hard surfaces including those in restaurants, homes and medical facilities. The EPA's registration of Axen30 for use on sensitive children's use sites emphasizes the "least-toxic" characteristics of Axen30 while expanding its versatility in the professional and consumer disinfection markets.
