Clean Energy Recovery Company Rentricity Presents at Energy Venture Fair in Boston November 2-3

Posted on: Tuesday, 25 October 2005, 12:00 CDT

Rentricity Inc., whose innovative Flow-to-Wire(SM) micro-turbines convert energy from over-pressurized water utility pipes into electricity - without the use of fossil fuels - will present at Energy Venture Fair VI in Boston, Massachusetts on November 2-3.

Rentricity President and Co-founder Frank Zammataro will lead the presentation which will include a review of the company's recent Flow-to-Wire pilot installation in Connecticut with the Aquarion Water Company funded in part by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, on-going Rentricity projects in Rhode Island, the identification of multiple recoverable energy sites across New England, Pennsylvania and New York, and the company's plan to expand the business into new regions and applications over the next few years.

"Our pilot program represents a first of a kind and demonstrates how new and innovative approaches to alternative energy sources can be commercialized and brought to a market primed for growth in the U.S. and abroad," said Zammataro.

New York-based Rentricity estimates the world-wide Flow-to-Wire drinking water market at 25,000 units. Additional applications of the technology are in waste water systems and irrigation systems, industrial steam and other pressurized gas or fluid flow in pipes such as natural gas and oil. This clean energy technology also presents an immediate opportunity for cities and states under pressure to meet renewable portfolio standards.

The Flow-to-Wire device uses commercially available standard components and is designated in Connecticut as a Class 1 renewable technology.

Private equity investors, executives of leading energy companies and energy-based technology companies attend the annual Energy Venture Fair to explore business opportunities in today's electric power sector. Investors and presenting companies ranked Rentricity's Flow-to-Wire technology in the top five in a survey taken following Energy Venture Fair IV two years ago in Philadelphia where Rentricity was one of seventy-five emerging companies to present.
