UPDA Subsidiary Canyon Creek Oil and Gas, Inc. Completes Management Team of Oil and Gas Professionals

As a result of recent meetings and discussions with the management of UPDA (OTCBB:UPDA), Canyon Creek Oil & Gas, Inc., a joint venture with USProduction and Exploration, LLC (USPX), has completed the assembly of its management team of oil and gas professionals. This team will undertake to continue the revitalization of the oil and gas fields that have been acquired in Texas, manage the production and accounting of revenues and endeavor to recommend additional acquisitions consistent with the UPDA business model.

Donald W. Orr

President/CEO

Don is a top level, accomplished, visionary manager with 28 years experience as an exploration geologist and as an officer of several small, independent corporations. Donald specializes in the daily operations and development of oil and gas producing properties, property evaluation and acquisition, geological evaluations, basin evaluations, frontier exploration, production analysis, drilling and work-over planning, general administration, and sales and marketing of exploration ventures. As a professional degreed geologist, Don's background includes drilling over 250 wells in 10 counties located in south Texas and redevelopment of over 300 wells in RRC districts 2, 3, 4, 7b, and 9.

Steven A. Fall

Vice-President/Business Development

Over 30 years of experience as an exploration/development geologist and a business development manager. Steven has worked for major exploration companies as well as independent companies where he has served as an officer. Specializing in technical evaluation of producing and non-producing oil and gas assets, Steven has immense knowledge of numerous depositional basins and the criteria that make a sound business deal. Because of his acquisition and divestment background, Steven knows how to market different types of properties and ventures. Steven holds a B.S. and M.S. in geology from Texas A&M, as well as a certified petroleum geologist designation from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists where he has been a member since 1972.

Michael L. Martin

Senior level Land Manager with 26 years experience in land and legal. Michael began his career as an independent during the "golden age" of the late 70's and early 80's oil business. Michael has served as an officer for several small, independent privately owned oil and gas operators. Michael's background also includes working with major oil companies as well. Michael specializes in courthouse activities such as title searches and ownership determinations. His background offers a wide range of experience in lease ownership, chains of title, various types of curative analysis, pipeline administration, lease form provisions and corrections, and probably most importantly a firm understanding of effective surface owner diplomacy. Michael is fully qualified to acquire leasehold information from any courthouse in the USA.

Joann Hall

Joann Hall began her career as an accounting instructor after graduating from L.S.U. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1962 with a B.S. in Commercial Education. Joann has experience in all phases of oil and gas accounting including lease acquisition, drilling, joint interest billing, revenue distribution and property acquisition and divestiture. Joann's list of former employers include Exxon, Goldberg-Westheimer, Pathfinder Petroleum where she served as Vice President, TexOil Company, and British Petroleum. Serving as President of Hall Land & Energy Co. her client list includes Cornell University, The Williams Company, Nortex Corporation, Meritech Resources, Inc., Sandalwood Oil and Gas Company, Inc., and U. S . Energy Corp. Joann has completed eighteen hours of post-graduate accounting and law from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. Joann has held secondary teaching certification in both Louisiana and Texas.
