80% of Power Plant Gas Turbines Domestically Manufactured Deputy Minister

According to "Tehran Times", Deputy Minister of energy for electricity affairs Mohammad Ahmadian said that 80 percent of gas turbines for power plants are made inside the country maintaining that the uneconomical parts are not produced domestically
. In the past the general policy of Ministry of Energy was to buy the parts of these power plants to be manufactured domestically provided that the technology for manufacturing them should be imported, Ahmadian noted. In addition, he said that according to the plans the main parts of the gas power plants and combined cycles power plants would be produced domestically in a few years.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
