Youngsters have been helping a week-long environment blitz in Dormanstown.
Redcar and Cleveland's latest Operation ECO - Environment Challenges Opportunity - has involved various agencies teaming up to clean the area and provide advice and environmental services.
Pupils from Dormanstown Primary School played their part by cleaning up the school grounds and planting bulbs and trees at the Dormanstown Millennium Green and the nearby Foxrush Farm community woodland.
As well as the big clean-up, the scheme included rubbish collections, a healthy eating project, debt counselling, and community crafts sessions.
Cabinet member for environmental improvement, Councillor Bob Stanway said: "Following on from the success of previous ECO blitzes, we have been encouraged by the response and intend to roll these out around the borough in pursuance of our clean, green and safe agenda."
