DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Adjusts Pricing on DuPont(TM) Elvax(R) and Keldax(R) Resins

WILMINGTON, Del., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) today announced a price increase on all off-list grades of DuPont(TM) Elvax(R) and Keldax(R) resins sold in North America, effective Dec. 1, 2005.

The increases, which are due to sustained increased energy costs, are comprised of two components. On Sept. 15, 2005, DuPont announced energy and transportation surcharges of 5 cents per pound for Elvax(R) and 1 cent per pound for Keldax(R). Those surcharges will become permanent price increases. In addition, prices on all off-list grades of Elvax(R) and Keldax(R) will be further raised by 7 cents and 2 cents per pound, respectively.

DuPont(TM) Elvax(R) Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) resin is a leading choice for packaging adhesives and specialty industrial applications. DuPont(TM) Keldax(R) resin is most commonly used as an acoustical sound barrier in automotive applications.
