West Glen Town Center Adds Nine Tenants

Nine more commercial tenants have signed leases with West Glen Town Center, bringing the announced total to 23. So far, 70 percent of the available space has been leased, and investor Bill Van, Orsdel said the West Des Moines development is ahead of schedule in its effort to all the spots by October 2006.
"In my opinion, we've been more successful than I thought we would be with national and regional companies," he said.
The newly announced tenants and their planned opening dates are:
* Tonic Lounge, a 4,000-square-foot upscale lounge, is billed as a spot for "Hawkeye Nation" fans, and the owners hope to open on Oct. 22, the day Iowa plays Michigan in football.
* Plato's Closet, an upscale secondhand clothing store, will start buying clothes this month and selling in November.
* Trieste, a retailer of custom furniture and home accessories, is expected to open in November.
* French Way Cleaners will open Nov 15.
* Great Frame Up is set to open Nov. 30; it will be a custom framing shop specializing in archival objects and fine art
* Paris Nails will open Nov 30.
* Wok in Motion, specializing in stir-fry dishes and sushi, will open in December.
* Three Dog Bakery sells gourmet food for pets; it opens in December.
* Caribou Coffee will be an anchor store in the Avenue of the Arts building; a Dec. 15 opening is planned.
