Sp Supplies Over 35% of Nation's Natural Gas

According to "Tehran Times", despite 4.6% reduction in production, the South Pars Oil and Gas Field provided over 35% of the nation's natural gas requirement in September, ranking first among other domestic natural gas field suppliers, National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced
. In August, SP's production fell by 10% due to gas import from Turkmenistan and supply increase from gas resources in Khorasan, Sarajeh, Khuzestan and Kangan, satisfying 4.8%, 10%, 0.3% and 10.4% of domestic consumption respectively in the last month of this summer, the report stated.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
