In response to rising fuel and energy costs, the Governor's Office of Energy Management and Conservation (OEMC) is announcing an online resource, www.colorado.gov/energyhelp, designed to give Coloradans quick ideas to reduce their energy expenses. The website contains resources for consumers, businesses, as well as for transportation and specific information for low-income households.
"Energy efficiency and conservation is a quick and easy way to deal with rising energy prices. There are many simple ways that can help reduce energy consumption and costs, which is important as we enter the winter and heating season," said Drew Bolin, OEMC director. "This website is designed to help Coloradans quickly find energy resources and tips."
Natural gas prices have risen significantly and additional increases are expected. While energy prices are not controllable by individuals, energy efficiency and conservation measures are the easiest ways to address rising fuel and energy costs.
