Energy Prices Down, but Natural Gas Up

Natural gas resisted a general downdraft of energy prices Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
While most petroleum commodities slipped in early trading, natural gas for December delivery eked out a tiny gain to hit $11.60 million Btu.
Meanwhile, high-quality crude oil fell 66 cents per 42-gallon barrel to $57.14, gasoline eased to $1.425 per gallon and heating oil slipped fractionally to $1.7375.
Energy prices have been sagging under the weight of warm U.S. weather and plentiful inventories of all oil, natural gas and products like gasoline and heating oil.
