MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Office of Business Operations within the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (EM) announced the award of their Information Technology Management and System Support contract to Project Performance Corporation. This award represents a continuation of work done by Project Performance Corporation and solidifies a strong partnership with DOE that has lasted over 14 years.
Under this $10.2 million, 5-year contract, Project Performance Corporation, a McLean, Virginia-based management and IT consulting firm, will continue to deliver a variety of systems development and analytical program support services. EM is responsible for accelerated risk reduction and cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation's nuclear weapons program and government-sponsored nuclear energy research. Project Performance Corporation's staff develops and maintains mission critical information management systems, provides life cycle cost estimating and modeling support, and provides expertise in the area of earned value management and project planning and controls. This program support, provided by PPC, allows DOE to meet its key business requirements of budget development, strategic planning and analysis, performance measurement, and internal/external communication. PPC's work directly supports EM's efforts to accelerate site closures and reduce risk from hazardous and radioactive waste.
"This contract represents Project Performance Corporation's continued commitment to DOE-EM and environmental stewardship. This contract also continues a longstanding partnership," said Project Performance Corporation's CEO Mike Nigro.
