Russia: Third Unit of Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant Commissioned

The third power generating unit is being commissioned in the Kalinin nuclear power plant today. It's capacity is 1,000 MW. Specialists say that in the construction of the power generating unit - it took about 20 years - the best technologies of the nuclear energy industry have been utilized. With its commissioning the energy supply in the central part of the country will improve significantly.
