Computer Recycling Firm Hits a Number

A computer recycling company has become the 125th client to get a boost from The Enterprise Group.
The County Durham business start-up specialist has hit the milestone just eight months after it launched, offering tailor-made services to people with business ideas taking them to the start-up stage and beyond.
Northern Computer Recycling (NCR) came to the group for help and support in the next stage of its expansion plan that has seen it relocate from Newcastle to County Durham.
NCR specialises in the collection, disposal and treatment of all redundant electrical and electronic goods in the wake of the EU's Waste and Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) 2003 Directive.
As a result, all UK businesses will be responsible for ensuring redundant electrical equipment is re-used or recycled or face heavy fines.
Following the move from Newcastle to Stella Gill Industrial Estate, Pelton Fell, NCR has expanded its facilities and has also launched a new service aimed specifically at small and medium companies in the North.
Sales and marketing director Darren Fraser said: "All disposal requests can be made on-line (www.ncrecycling.co.uk) and collection of the equipment is guaranteed within five working days."
