The global oil equivalent consumption will increase by over 50% to 16.3 bil tonnes/y in 2005-2030 if the demand for energies continues to grow in the same tempo it has been rising so far. This is stated in the World Energy Outlook by the International Energy Agency published on 7 Nov 2005
. The material also warns against the risk of glutting the world with emissions unless the 26 IEA countries including the Czech Republic invest in economical technologies and renewable energy resources. The IEA expects oil producers in the Middle East and northern Africa to invest USD 484 bil in oil exploration in the next 25 years. This is the only way how they can raise their oil production from the current 29 mil barrels/d to 50 mil barrels/d in 2030.Source: Access Czech Republic Business Bulletin
