SALEM, OR, Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Ken Gotlib, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Franchise Partner for the Salem and Eugene region, announced the company is on target to exceed its 2005 recycling and donation goal.
1-800-GOT-JUNK? North America's Largest Junk Removal Service aims to recycle and donate as much collected junk as possible. When Ken Gotlib opened his doors in Oregon, he had high hopes of recycling and donating the majority of the junk they cleaned-up.
"This has been an ambitious goal; all of our employees have worked hard to achieve a high recycling average," says Gotlib.
"Since the first day we started operations in 2004, we've established a training program that focuses on a high recycling/donation goal. Through ongoing training of our employees, along with structuring daily performance incentives as part of our employee compensation plan, we have been able to achieve our target."
"The Union Gospel Mission is a great example of one of our donation partners that has been able to take a lot of the furniture we collect," says Gotlib. "We not only help the Mission by passing on reusable furniture and household items, we also are able to achieve our goal of increasing our recycling rate."
According to Connie Crawford Lain, Director of Development & Fiscal Resources at Union Gospel Mission, "1-800-GOT-JUNK? is a blessing that collects many of the goods we are in need of. The partnership between our two organizations brings help and hope to the homeless and needy in the Salem area."
For the upcoming year Gotlib is planning an even loftier goal for recycling. "We live in a disposable culture, its important that we help the environment and people in need. We will continue to work hard to keep as much as possible out of our local landfills."
