DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers Adjusts Pricing on DuPont(TM) Elvanol(R) Polyvinyl Alcohol

WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) today announced a price increase on all grades of DuPont(TM) Elvanol(R) polyvinyl alcohol sold in the United States, effective Jan. 1, 2006.
On Sept. 15, 2005, DuPont announced energy and transportation surcharges of 8 cents per pound for Elvanol(R) polyvinyl alcohol. Since natural gas and transportation costs have not diminished, that surcharge will become a permanent price increase.
DuPont(TM) Elvanol(R) polyvinyl alcohol is widely used in diverse applications in the adhesives, paper, textile, and water-soluble film industries.
