Electricity Industry Hoping to Attract $1bln in Foreign Investments

According to "Tehran Times", in its bid to further develop the country's electricity industry, Iran is determined to attract one billion dollars of foreign investments in the form of finance system, noted deputy energy minister Mohammad Aminian
. Referring to a number of unfinished projects he maintained that, the incomplete projects such as the Parreh-Sar Power Plant parts of which had been completed years before would be completed. Based on the planning, some 1,000 megawatts of electricity generated from the power plants built by the private sector are expected to be connected to the national electricity grid. Also, if everything goes well, the private sector will produce some 12,000 megawatts of electricity within the next ten years.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
