Freshies Food Corporation Expands Distribution to 25 Additional Whole Foods Market Stores

Posted on: Wednesday, 14 December 2005, 12:00 CST

DENVER, Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Freshies Food Corporation, a leading producer of all-natural, non-alcoholic drink mixes, announced today that its cocktail mixes will now be available in 25 additional Whole Foods Market, Inc. stores in seven new major metropolitan areas. The decision to expand distribution is a result of increased demand for Freshies' popular mixes.

Over the next few weeks, six exciting flavors will begin lining the shelves of stores in Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. Earlier this year, Freshies began distributing to Whole Foods Market stores in Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, and Washington. To celebrate its expansion into the new markets, Freshies is hosting in-store Saturday demonstrations in all stores where Freshies mixes are available.

"The fact that Freshies has been so successful in other Whole Foods Market stores around the country made it a natural choice to expand their presence in our Southwest and Rocky Mountain Regions," said Scott Price, Southwest Regional Grocery Coordinator for Whole Foods Market. "Our customers demand great tasting products that are made from fresh, all-natural ingredients. Freshies cocktail mixes are a welcome addition in our continuing effort to supply Whole Foods Markets' valued customers with the best, all-natural products available."

Whole Foods Market shoppers will be able to select from six tantalizing flavors: Bloody Mary Original, Hot Mary Habanero Hot, Fresh Lime Margarita, Mojito Island Mint, Strawberry Kiwi, and Peach Mango. All Freshies mixes are made with fresh-squeezed juices, all-natural spices and whole sugars. Because Freshies meets Whole Foods Market stores' quality standards, its products are a must-have for wellness enthusiasts with a cosmopolitan edge.

"Our growing partnership with Whole Foods Market is further proof that consumers want the taste and goodness that Freshies offers," said Steve Barton, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Freshies Food Corporation. "Our cocktail mixes will now be at the fingertips of even more consumers who value quality and health."

About Freshies Food Corporation

The idea behind Freshies was born in 1994 when a chef and bartender created a Bloody Mary mix that rapidly became famous throughout the ski towns of Colorado. Today, privately-held Freshies Food Corporation manufactures a comprehensive line of non-alcoholic mixes that use no artificial preservatives and only fresh ingredients, such as naturally occurring acids like Vitamin C. The suite of all-natural mixes offers the savvy consumer a range of fresh squeezed and prepared flavors- from Habanero Hot or Smooth-and-Mild Bloody Marys to Fresh Lime or Low Carb Margaritas to a full variety of specialty and seasonal drink mixes. Sold globally to retailers, distributors and private- label merchandisers, Freshies mixes deliver the taste sensation that is made possible only through the combination of fresh fruits, vegetables and spices, natural flash-pasteurization and the handmade care and quality that goes into every bottle. Your Bloody mary mix brought raves when I served it last month. Do you have plans to distribute it in Connecticut or other closer states?
